Flying Over Water

People tell you nothing is worth winning without a fight.
People say taking risks is what its all about.
I’ve always lived my life this way.
With movement, waves and lots of shouts.

But now my wings are clipped, my ship is docked in port.
Immobilized, stuck, the obstacles are invisible.
I need a push, lift me off, I’m lost.
The lure of freedom is irresistible.

Dust yourself off, get back to the fight.
The nightingales have taken flight.
Come back, come back and sing to my soul.
I need your joyful song to make me whole.
