Tribute to Poetry

Common words, pronounced with care
Flowing like a river stream
The mind awakes them unaware
No egocentric self-esteem

Understand the way of words
A voyage you will never see
Through dreams that may first seem to hurt
A voyage to your fantasy

A feeling you have never felt
Emotions taking you to me
Words containing so much wealth
They want to be your destiny

Positive Attitude

The most enchanting dance
To walk with you in trance
Embrace the dream that is now ours

Together we commence
Advance beyond ‘just friends’
And face the dream with renewed powers

Public Places

Trudging through the grimy grey subway station
People flicker on the walls, people pass you by
Shadows darken and light breeds new creation
Where faces are mournful and all voices lie
Machines of steel and scattered feet
The drone of automated sounds
Fade in and out where both worlds meet
The busker sings of kings and crowns

Trudging through the sewers transportation
Rats blink and flicker in the artificial light
Creatures of the dark, sighing as a nation
Those that walk on two legs have the hardest bite

Those that walk two-legged come out at night

4th Dimension of Emptiness

On certain times I feel I drift away
To the past which returns from yesterday
Things I’ve seen before, been before
Happen again in exactly the same way

I fall in love, I know it won’t work out
It’s the very same thing
I know what it’s about

Although I know, I cannot change the past,
The present and the future are the same
Circling though time I cannot last
Go through all pain that also came

And if I change, I remove myself from the future
And the void that once was past will not be there
Trapped in time I am, I know it won’t work out
I know what it’s about to be nowhere

Just Awake

Every now and then when sleep marches to utter victory,
I am reminded of who is in command,
I am reminded of the enemy that is my friend,
Wrapped in embrace,the warm coccoon.
Waiting for the spring to be unleashed,
Waiting for the moment to be soon.

It’s a battle never won, a victory never claimed,
My slowest rise to total consciousness,
My faster weakened bones and flesh,
Wrapped in light by the worshipful sun.
Drifting snowflakes are travelling east.
Drifting back to where I came from.

The Beginning

Freedom in your being comes from knowing all will end.
Freedom in your soul comes from following the rend.
Towards the joy, towards the pain, towards an everlasting mend.

Child of the Sun

When the wind is blowing
You whirl along
On the wings of eternity

On a journey to unknown lands
Where you will find
Blue seas and palmtree strands

When the wind is blowing
You fly along
On the vast rays of the sun

Through the clouds;
Like a balloon
Till the gates of heaven swoon

Pen vs Sword

Reading the paper
Red words dripping from the page
Mighty pen has come

I am a Flower

Inside me is a flower, open and bright.
The scent is sweet as silk.
Soft and velvet, a shining light.
Deep and layered as the night.

Love and kindness are what it needs.
Strengthening its roots.
Growing and expanding seeds.
Until we have a garden freed.

Knots

Wrapped in a milky cocoon
I feel it’s oh too soon,
To reach for the stars above.
Though I dream of it.

Fingers in fists protect my soul.
The outside world seems a gaping hole.
Running free in the biggest sky,
Soon I’ll be a hurricane.

My threads are breaking clear.
A swooping blackness is my fear.
I will emerge a butterfly.
To beat back the chaos.
