Slip and slide on winter track
Balancing with gifts
Santa has been multiplied

Beautiful frosty morning
Brings you many riches
Diamonds on the pavements

Contrast brings beauty
Nature blankets together

Summer winter spring
Bringing out the love within

Welcome Home

As dark nights roll over day
People rush from work
Sun shines forth from window bright

Unbroken

Snowflakes stick on window pane
Cracking deep the glass
Hot breath clears the icy view

Ohh Frosty

Snowman stands in midday sun
Coal eyes fail to burn
Weight loss inevitable

Travelling in Circles

Lost souls at the end of stone they stand
Waiting on the inevitable to make its way
For reasons no sane man can possibly comprehend
Did they learn nothing yesterday?

Mortals think their friend will take them home
Leaving all the scenery behind in history
Tomorrow they will have to face the past again
For they are trapped in everyday’s story

Vertical Skin

Vertical Skin, what an elaborate phrase!
Deep down within, in every cell a trace
Though mine is visible, for all to see
Vertical Skin is what I want to be

Marking my skin, or a mark from a god
A token of sin, or a deliberate fraud?
Layer upon layer, step after step
Linking my kin, to many secrets well kept

Until that night, when summer was no more
I glimpsed a sight of what was held in store
Now I know well, the puzzle of Vertical Skin
A single bite stretched out, in welcoming grin

Sleep Marches to Utter Victory

Every now and then when sleep marches to utter victory
I am reminded of who is in command
I am reminded of the enemy that is my friend
Wrapped in embrace, the warm cocoon
Waiting for the spring to be unleashed
Waiting for the moment to be soon

It’s a battle never won, a victory never claimed
My slowest rise to total consciousness
My faster weakened bones and flesh
Wrapped in light by the worshipful sun
Drifting snowflakes travelling east
Drifting back to where I came from
